1968 Fender Strat, Extremely Rare Blonde Custom Color!

Left Handed 1968 Fender Strat with an insanely rare Blonde Custom Color! This had to have been a special order guitar – has “Blond” written in the neck pickup cavity(see pic). I think I’ve seen one other factory left-handed Blonde Strat, but certainly not from the Hendrix era(both the white Woodstock and black Band of Gypsies Strats were from 1968).

The Guitar looks very clean and straight, with only the volume pot replaced with a later pot from 1977. The guitar has just been set up by the pros at The Guitar Factory in Orlando, FL and needs nothing.

Date Codes:

• Serial Number 236375 (mid 1968)
• Neck date: 22 JUN 68B

Pot Codes:

• Tone 137 6618
• Tone 137 6618

• Bridge (grey bottom) 8-6-68 Ca
• Middle (grey bottom) 8-6-68 Ca
• Neck (Black bottom) no writing

Has the typical unplugged hole on the short horn where it was once played as righty – very common for lefty Strats from the 60s.

1961 Fender Strat, Rare Lefty Slab Board with OHSC!

Very rare left-handed 1961 Fender Strat, strong 3-tone Sunburst finish, survivor guitar in VG+ condition, all original except for newer CTS 250K volume pot & trem arm. This guitar is the brother of my personal 1961 Strat, sharing the same body date(4-61), neck date(11-61),
neck plate serial # range(70xxx), and even the exact same neck PUP output(5.89K)!

1961 is the sweet spot for Fender Strats IMO: the best 3-tone sunburst and tone! My 1961 Strat has been called one of the best sounding vintage Strats by Scott Freilich of Top Shelf Music, who has been working on vintage guitars since 1968. This Strat is the closest thing to that incredible Strat; this is a very rare opportunity for anyone looking for the classic vintage Strat tone without equal!

Dates:
Body Date: 4/61
Neck Date: 11/61
Neck Plate: 70xxx
Tone Pots: 304-6134
Volume Pot: newer CTS 250K

Measurements:
Neck PUP: 5.89K
Middle PUP: 5.49K
Bridge PUP: 5.62K
1st Fret Depth: .81 “
12th Fret Depth: .98 “
Weight: Approximately 7.5 lbs

The body has some pick wear above the pickguard where it might have been played by a righty at one time. Also has some wear just above the bridge(see pics for both areas). Very nice crack-free Green Guard. Lots of life left on the frets. Back of the guitar is much cleaner. Neck has the gloss worn off for that perfect worn-in feel.

Includes OHSC in EXC Condition, newer trem arm, original back trem cover.

These slab board Strats are the ones to get; and these are very hard to find in Lefty. Here’s your chance to acquire the essence of classic vintage Fender Strat tone!

Was $25,000 Now $23,500

1964 Fender Candy Apple Red Strat, Pre-CBS Custom Color Strat!

This 1964 Fender CAR Strat currently resides with the 2nd owner, who states: “The original owner had this guitar since new along with other pre-CBS Strats from 1954, 1958, 1960, 1963, and early 1965. Over the years he sold all of his guitars but kept this one as this was by far the most best sounding Strat of them all.”

The guitar has a fair amount of honest playing wear accumulated over the past 53 years, with the Gold undercoat showing in several areas. The guitar is all original according to the current owner, with the exception of a 5-way switch, one Tone pot, and newer hardshell case. True pre-CBS with the spaghetti logo, and Candy Apple Red – Leo’s favorite custom color!

1961 Fender Strat

Magnificent example of a Lefty 1961 Fender Strat: 100% original with OHSC and hangtags. EXC 8.5/10 condition. 1961 was a great year for Strats; no worry about the red-fade Sunburst finish that plagued 1960 Strats. This Strat has the beautiful blend tri-color Burst that is so much more desirable than the target/bulls-eye Burst pattern that started appearing in 1962. Completely untouched guitar with no changes/mods/broken solder joints etc.

LEFTY 1958 Fender Strat, 100% Original with OHSC, Amazing Strat!

I’ve been thinking of the appropriate adjective to describe this 1958 Strat. I haven’t been able to come up with just one word, so I’ll just call it Pure Dynamite! This is simply one of the best Strats I’ve ever had the privilege of playing, including my favorite 1961 Slab Strat. I didn’t think that I would find one that rivaled the 61, but this guitar is the one!

It has an unbelievable neck PUP(my favorite PUP on a Strat). The Tone is mind blowing and mind altering all in one: clearly-defined notes on the wound strings, deep mids, and musical highs without the ice-pick effect, all in a hugely resonating 3-D experience that prevents you from putting this one down. You know the Otis Rush line, I Can’t Quit You Baby, I think I’m gonna put you down for a little while; he’s obviously not talking about this guitar, because you Can’t Put it Down….Not Even For A Little While!
