LEFTY 1958 Fender Strat, 100% Original with OHSC, Amazing Strat!

I’ve been thinking of the appropriate adjective to describe this 1958 Strat. I haven’t been able to come up with just one word, so I’ll just call it Pure Dynamite! This is simply one of the best Strats I’ve ever had the privilege of playing, including my favorite 1961 Slab Strat. I didn’t think that I would find one that rivaled the 61, but this guitar is the one!

It has an unbelievable neck PUP(my favorite PUP on a Strat). The Tone is mind blowing and mind altering all in one: clearly-defined notes on the wound strings, deep mids, and musical highs without the ice-pick effect, all in a hugely resonating 3-D experience that prevents you from putting this one down. You know the Otis Rush line, I Can’t Quit You Baby, I think I’m gonna put you down for a little while; he’s obviously not talking about this guitar, because you Can’t Put it Down….Not Even For A Little While!

This is an uncirculated(from a private collection) factory Left Handed 1958 Fender Strat, 100% Original/Unmolested Guitar with OHSC, unbroken solder joints, includes original trem cover and trem bar, beautiful blend 3-tone sunburst that the late 58s are known for, body dated 2/57(marked Left Hand in trem cavity), neck dated 3-58, EXC overall condition, back has some buckle rash, typical wear for a 50s Strat, but oh that tone……. now isn’t that why we love these old Strats……..of course it it! Neck is a Soft V Profile, very comfortable and specs out in that sweet zone like a 1959 Les Paul with .90/1st fret and 1.00/12th fret. Weight is perfect at around 7.5 lbs.

It’s no surprise that Scott Freilich of Top Shelf Music calls 1958-1962 the best years for Strats: this guitar will make you a believer of that statement. This certainly has to be one of the finest left handed Strats on this planet Earth and beyond. It will be a very, very sad, if not apocalyptic, day when I have to pack this guitar up and send it to its new owner.
