1968 Fender Tele, Rare Maple Cap Neck, Player’s Guitar

This is a 1968 Fender Tele with a rare maple cap neck. All of the late 60s(1967-1969) left handed Teles I’ve sold have had a rosewood fingerboard. Even most right handed late 60s Teles have the rosewood fingerboard. I was able to find a pristine right handed 1966 Tele with a maple cap neck that I sold to Joe Bonamassa earlier in the year: http://www.leftyvintageguitars.com/1966FenderTeleMapleCap.html

This is a player’s guitar, with many non-original parts. But it’s priced at about 1/3 of an all original late 60s left handed Tele with a rosewood fingerboard. The prize is clearly the factory left handed maple cap neck, dated 3SEP68, so the rest of the guitar is just icing on the cake.

1967 Fender Tele, Twin Brother of a Killer Tele!

I had a really great 1967 Fender Tele last year. It played and sounded as good as any Tele I’ve had. I always wished I had another one like it. Well, it’s here!

This is a 1967 Fender Tele which is the twin brother of the earlier Tele: it has the same neck stamp/date( 3APR67B), pot codes within 2 weeks(137 6636), and identical neck depth – .87/1st, .92/12th. Body is stamped “ES,” which was Fender code for a special-order guitar.

1964 Fender Red Sparkle Strat, 100% Original with OHSC, Extremely Rare Custom Color!

For a left handed vintage Strat, this is as rare as it gets! This is a factory original Left Handed 1964 Fender Strat in the ultra rare custom color finish: Red Sparkle. It is also known as Metallic Red, and the abbreviation of “MR” along with LH for Left Handed can be seen in the top of the body. The letters are in a style that is typically seen on custom color finishes done by the Fender factory.

This is a color that Fender rarely used, and is not even seen in the Fender factory finish literature. Most likely it was a color used for promotional purposes, such as the NAMM show. So it is more rare than even the rarest custom colors!

1967 Fender Tele, Great Sounding Vintage Tele!

Have you ever wanted a killer sounding vintage guitar that you didn’t have to worry about getting nicked or dinged?
This is the perfect vintage Tele to take to the local jam, gig, or on tour and not have to worry about.

This is a 1967 Fender Tele which was previously at Gruhn Guitars some years ago. While at Gruhn, they went ahead and did a refret with new nut. The guitar does have a lot of wear, but it is one of the better sounding Teles I’ve had.
The pickups are very potent on this guitar, with a very strong Neck/6.96K, and Bridge/5.23K. Sounds unbelievable in the middle position!
