Left-Handed 1956 Fender Tele, 100% Original, EXC Condition with OHSC, Extremely Rare Vintage Lefty!

Left Handed 1956 Fender Tele, 100% Original, OHSC, EXC Condition. This is an extremely rare, desirable, and unmolested lefty vintage guitar-I have only seen 2 other lefty Teles from the 50s! Body is dated 1954, neck is dated 7-55, pots are Stackpole 304620(20th week of 1956), neck plate is 113xx. Fender probably made a run of a few lefties from 1954, so they used what bodies were available in later years from that original inventory, something we’ve often seen with Fender lefty vintage guitars from the 50s and 60s. Has Lefty markings on bottom of bridge PUP, bridge PUP cavity, and bottom of neck(see pics).

As is consistent with the other 2 lefty 50s Teles, the bridge is stamped in the 196x range(1960). This is something mentioned in THE book on Teles: AR Duchossoir’s The Fender Telecaster on p.70(a detailed discussion of bridge plates) and on p. 78(the use of random serial #’s in dating bridges on the earliest Teles).

Pre-CBS 1964 Fender Jaguar, Black Refin, EXC Condition with OHSC

Left Handed Pre-CBS 1964 Fender Jaguar, older pro-refin in Black, has just undergone a complete inspection and expert set-up including a perfect refret with original spec wire by Scott Freilich of Top Shelf Music(www.topshelfmusic.com). This guitar now plays beautifully and needs nothing!

Neck date is 1MAY63B, neck plate is L48xxx, pickups are 6.13K/Neck, 7.09K/Bridge. Has a few replaced parts: 2 pots are mid-60s, tuners are repro, otherwise the guitar is original. Includes what is probably the correct case: early 60s brown Jaguar/Jazzmaster in righty, which is typical of the lefty Jaguars and Jazzmaster from the 1960s I have seen.

1969-1970 Gibson SG Special, EXC with OHSC, Amazing SG!

Lefty 1969-70 Gibson SG Special, transitional guitar from late 1969-early 1970: NO Made in U.S.A. stamp, mini volute, pots date 137 7010. Has early 60s Maestro tailpiece(the guitar is original otherwise), brand new adjustable bridge is on there now(original stair step bridge in the case). Nice deep cherry finish, has some dings and nicks that you would expect from 44 year-old guitar, some worming on the back, but EXC overall condition. Headstock has some veneer checking which is purely cosmetic in nature. Comes with original logo black rectangular case/Marigold lining.

I actually didn’t play this guitar until Scott Freilich of Top Shelf Music(authorized Gibson repair center since 1979) was doing a complete inspection and set-up of this guitar and commented that it was a really good sounding SG. Since I’m more into Gibson ES guitars and Strats, I took notice, plugged it in, and was very impressed with this guitar!

1964 LEFTY Fender Jazzmaster, Blonde Finish, Mint with OHSC!

This guitar has been inspected by British luthier Clive Brown, who comments:

“The 1964 Fender Jazzmaster in Blonde is the cleanest Jazzmaster I have seen, on inspecting the guitar I would advise not to remove the pickguard or neck for fear of the guard cracking because of the very tight fit or the neck causing the finish to chip. Anyone who knows what they are looking at should be able to tell that this guitar is as near to new condition as any 1964 guitar can be. A left handed ash bodied Blonde Jazzmaster in this condition including white tolex case is one of the rarest Jazzmasters available.”

What can you say? This is a rare pre-CBS custom color Jazzmaster, unmolested and a true time capsule, an absolute investment-grade instrument – and it’s a LEFTY! This is one of the cleanest vintage guitars I’ve seen; you just don’t see them this pristine…………and when you do, you gotta grab it!

1964 Fender Red Sparkle Strat, 100% Original with OHSC, Extremely Rare Custom Color!

For a left handed vintage Strat, this is as rare as it gets! This is a factory original Left Handed 1964 Fender Strat in the ultra rare custom color finish: Red Sparkle. It is also known as Metallic Red, and the abbreviation of “MR” along with LH for Left Handed can be seen in the top of the body. The letters are in a style that is typically seen on custom color finishes done by the Fender factory.

This is a color that Fender rarely used, and is not even seen in the Fender factory finish literature. Most likely it was a color used for promotional purposes, such as the NAMM show. So it is more rare than even the rarest custom colors!
