1959 Gibson Les Paul Special, 100% Original, EXC+ Condition!

This is a Left Handed 1959 Gibson Les Paul Special, Double Cutaway, Cherry Finish, 2 P-90s, Wrap Bridge. This is an early 1959 model, and may be the earliest Left Handed Double Cutaway Les Paul Special in existence. The guitar is all original(except it comes in an early 70s Gibson hardshell case), and is in EXC+ condition.

As featured in the book of rare Lefty vintage guitars, Uncommon Sound, and Tony Bacon’s The Ultimate Guitar Book. 1959 – the pinnacle and holiest year for vintage Gibson guitars!

1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom, Wine Red, 100% Original with OHSC, EXC Condition!

This is a 1979 Gibson Les Paul Custom, Wine Red finish, Gold Hardware, Ebony fretboard. This was the 25th guitar made in the Kalamazoo, MI plant on September 14, 1979. The neck is on the slim side, with 1st fret/.82 and 12th fret/.95. The pickups are balanced with neck/7.67K and bridge/7.73K. The weight is on the lighter side for a 70s all-mahogany Custom: around 10 lbs on a bathroom scale. I’ve seen 70s customs heavier than 11 lbs! The headstock is marked “SECOND” on the back, which is usually a mystery stamp found on many really good older Gibsons based on my experience.

2018 Gibson ES-335 Anchor Stud with Bigsby, Pelham Blue, New!

This is a brand new Gibson ES-335 Anchor Stud model in Aged Pelham Blue. This guitar was ordered back in December, and it finally arrived. This is probably the only lefty out there! The 335 in Pelham Blue has always been one of my favorite guitars. This one plays and sounds amazing – the bass/bottom end is punchy and clear on the neck pickup, and the neck pickup screams, just the way I like them! Has a nice weight of 8 ½ lbs thanks to the weight-relieved center block. I also had the Memphis shop separately make me a VOS “Custom Made” plaque which can cover the anchor studs for that true vintage look if you prefer(see pic).

1957 Gibson Les Paul Goldtop with OHSC, Very Rare!

Early 1957 Goldtop – formerly owned by Cesar Rosas of Los Lobos. One of a very small group of Left Handed Stop Tail Les Pauls from the 1950s.

Thanks to Scott Jennings for reminiscing about this great guitar. I remember when Scott had it for sale in Vintage Guitar Magazine in the early 90s at Route 66 Guitars; somehow I knew I would end up with this guitar some 25 years later – it was worth the wait!
