1971 Fender Tele Bass, 100% Original, Investment Grade!

This is a 1971 Fender Tele Bass, factory Left Handed, 100% Original with OHSC. It’s almost impossible to find an early 68-71 Tele Bass with 4-Bolt Neck & Single Coil Pickup in Lefty!

What makes this Lefty Tele Bass even more remarkable, is that it comes with a 1968 Neck! Fender started production on the Tele Bass in mid-1968, which is when they made a batch of lefty necks for this model. When it was time to assemble this bass in 1971, they reached in the parts bin and found out they still had a Lefty Neck in inventory! You can make out “23SEP68C” on the neck stamp!!

The bass has been inspected and setup by Scott Freilich of Top Shelf Music, who is the most qualified person in the world to inspect a vintage bass. Scott has owned an authorized Fender repair center since 1979, has worked on hundreds of vintage Fender basses over the years, has a vintage bass collection, and is also a terrific pro bass player! The bass sounds and plays great – Needs nothing.
